Moloko je bio elektronika/pop duo iz Engleske, koji su činili Róisín Murphy i Mark Bryton. Naziv sastava potiče od ruske reči za mleko, ‚‚moloko''.

Róisín Murphy, rođena u Arklou u Irskoj, nije imala prethodno pevačko iskustvo kada je Moloko formiran. S druge strane, Bryton je već imao opširnu biografiju kao remiksre i član Chakk, Krush i Cloud 9. Upoznali su se na žuci u Šefildu kada je Rosin prišla Marku rečima: ‚‚Da li ti se dopada moj uski džemper? Vidi kako mi lepo stoji.'' Ova rečenica će postati naslov njihovog debitantskog aluma, snimljenog dok se par zabavljao.

Prva dva albuma, ‚‚Do You Like My Tight Sweater?'' i ‚‚I Am Not a Doctor'' su zavredila pažnju undergraund muzičke dens scene. Bend se proslavio singlom ‚‚Sing it back", pesma sa albuma ‚‚I Am Not a Doctor'' za koju je Boris Dlugoč napravio remiks. Pesma je postala veliki hit i probila se među top 5 u Velikoj Britaniji 1999. godine.

U januaru i februaru 1999. godine, Moloko je podržao Garbage na njihovoj turneji ‚‚Version 2.0 tour''.

Moloko je takođe imao uspeha sa pesmom ‚‚The time is now", prvim singlom sa trećeg albuma ‚‚Things to Make and Do''. Članovi grupe su raskinuli svoju ljubavnu vezu 2001. godine. Posle njihovog prekida, snimili su još jedan, njihov poslednji album, ‚‚Statues''. Posle turneje povodom izdanja novog albuma, članovi grupe su se razišli. Rosin je krenula u solo karijeru, dok Mark radi na manjim prijektima u svom studiju.

‚‚Do You Like My Tight Sweater?'' je debi album dua Moloko, objavljen novembra 1995. Na njemu su se našle tri pesme sa EP albuma ‚‚Where is the What if the What is in Why?'' koji je iste godine objavila nezavisna izdavačka kuća i četrnaest novih pesama. Prvi singl, ‚‚Fun for Me" se našao i na albumu na kome je objavljena muzika iz filma ‚‚Betmen i Robin''.

‚‚I Am Not a Doctor'' je njihov drugi album, objavljen 1998. godine. Komentari kritičara su bili veoma pozitivni, ali album nije tako dobro prodat. Nastavili su u stilu prvog albuma sa većim eksperimentisanjem u drum and bass-u i synthpop-u

‚‚Things to Make and Do'' je njihov treći album, objavljen u Velikoj Britaniji od strane Echo Records-a. ‚‚Things to Make and Do'' ima drugačiji zvuk - manje se oslanja na elektroniku, a više na živu svirku. Pored promena u stilu, na ovom albumu su novost i tehnike unete u Rosinin glas, koje ranije nisu primenjivane. Kada je objavljen album, Rosin je prokomentarisala svoj glas na prethodnim albumima: ‚‚Imala sam 19 godina kada smo objavili 'Tight Sweater' i znala sam da se sve vreme pretvaram. Čak i ako bih pokušala da se ne pretvaram - pretvarala sam se. Sada bolje poznajem sebe.''

Prvi singl sa ovog albuma, ‚‚The Time is Now", postao je molokov najveći hit, dostigavšu drugo mesto na Britanskoj listi singlova.

‚‚Statues'' je četvrti i poslednji studijski album dua Moloko, koji je objavila izdavačka kuća Echo Records oktobra 2003. godine.

Posle saradnje sa muzičarima koji sviraju uživo na prethodnom albumu ‚‚Things to Make and Do'', duo Moloko se, ovim albumom, vraća na dobro poznatu teritoriju elektronske muzike, iako se uticaj prethodnog albuma može primetiti u pesmama ‚‚Familiar Feeling'' i ‚‚Over and Over''.

U vreme kada je album izdat, dugogodišnja romantična veza koja je postojala između Rosin Marfi i Marka Bridona je privedena kraju, pripremivši teren za solo album ‚‚Ruby Blue'' koji je Marfi objavila 2005. godine. Pesme koje se nalaze na ovom izdanju opisuju različite emocionalne faze kroz koje prolazi ljubavna veza koja se primiče svom kraju. Grupa Moloko je intenzivno promovisala ovaj album na svojoj evropskoj turneji, da bi se, nedugo po njenom završetku, razišla.
