Hurts je engleski synthpop duo iz Mančestera koji se sastoji od pevača Theo-a Hutchcraft-a (poreklom iz Ričmonda u Severnom Jorkširu) i svirača sintisajzera Adam-a Anderson-a. Pre nastanka benda, Theo i Adam su bili u bendu ‚‚Bureau'', kasnije preimenovanom u ‚‚Daggers''.

Početkom 2010. zvanično su objavili svoj debi singl ''Better than love'' sa poznatom rumunskom glumicom Laura-om Cosoi, i održali prvi svoj šou uživo. Pesma ‚‚Illuminated'' bila je muzika za reklamu Skay1 HD za proleće/leto 2010. godine. Njihov debi album pod nazivom ‚‚Happiness'' objavljen je 6. septembra 2010. Pored ostalih pesama, sadrži i duet sa Kylie Minogue - ‚‚Devotion''. Da bi promovisali objavljivanje svog debi albuma, sarađivali su sa Joe-om Strech-om povodom proizvodnje interaktivne audio-knjige u kojoj je narator Anna Freil.

U septembru 2010. objavljeno je da su karte za njihovu trurneju u Velikoj Britaniji rasprodate.

Nov bend, još uvek veoma mala biografija. Ali njihova muzika sama govori za njih.

Pored toga što sam za jako kratko vreme zavoleo njih i njihovu muziku, mnogo mi se dopadaju i fotografije koje su radili za album.

Elektro-pop duo iz Mančestera - Hurts, održaće koncert u Beogradskoj areni 25. maja u organizaciji Avalon produkcije.

‚‚Uz skepsu nekih kritičara i vizionarske prognoze njihovog uspeha kod nekih drugih kritičara (New Musical Express), ipak su upravo Hurts dokazali da u današnje vreme zvezde postaju samo oni koje publika direktno izabere. A njih su izabrali. Direktan kontakt sa publikom Hurts su imali na sajtu Youtube gde su postavili svoj prvi spot, snimljen sa budžetom od svega 20 funti. Stilska hrabrost i jasan umetnički izraz doprineli su da spot za pesmu Wonderful Life postane kolosalni hit koji danas ima oko 17 miliona pregleda! Ta pesma danas ima i svoju visokobudžetnu verziju, ili kako sami tvrde, nastavak originalnog spota, koja takođe beleži milione pregleda i širi se brzinom kakvu danas samo Internet može doneti. Znači, ladno sam bila hipnotisana sinoć, iako premorena, neispavana...tek sad me pukle emocije..ono after shock ne mogu se oporavim još uvek

Doduše ozvučenje je bilo onako prilično shit, ali su oni stvorili takav naboj emocija da ne mogu da opišem. A kad su izveli pesmu Evelyn aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa jbt to je trebalo doživeti i osetiti!!!!

Iako se ne uklapaju baš u potpunosti u neki moj "muzički ukus",npr. za razliku od Stilla, meni se više dopada njihova muzika dok su bili u bendu Daggers, ali ovo šta su počeli da stvaraju kao Hurts iako neuporedivo komercijalnije ima jedan poseban kvalitet, mnogo rafiniranije... ali ipak su zadržali tu nekakvu buntovničku, divlju, nezauzdanu emociju koja se po mom mišljenju može videti samo na koncertima. Možda je kanalisana na drugačiji način, ali na momente prosto explozivno izađe na površinu, to se naročito vidi u Theo-vom nastupu.

Sve u svemu, drago mi je što sam bila na koncertu, najviše zato što je moja sreća bila pored mene! givenheart
